Engaging Pōneke in climate adaptation solutions.
As part of Wellington City Council's Our Changing City initiative, Storybox was brought in to provide creative direction and producing support for a mobile, interactive exhibition designed to educate the public about local climate disruptions like floods, landslides, and sea level rise.
The exhibition combines data from organisations like NIWA and Wellington Water with te ao Māori perspectives, helping Wellingtonians understand the impact of climate change on their city and how they can prepare.
While the Council’s in-house teams led the planning and design, Storybox played a key role in the final production and delivery phases. As Creative Producer we led the internal team, provided design support, animation, and 3D direction, and we created the touchscreen exhibition kiosk that brought the experience to life. Our work ensured the digital city model, which visualises complex climate data, was engaging and accessible to a wide audience.
